Health, defined by the World Health Organization as “a state of complete well-being,” is also recognized as a fundamental human right in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. “Complete well-being” encompasses physical, emotional, and social health, while health and life represent a broad perspective in which all these elements are considered together.
Held online on 22–23 August 2025, the II. International Cappadocia Congress on Health and Life brought together numerous disciplines through its thematic areas, aiming to evaluate various aspects of health collectively and highlighting the broad scope of the concept of health.
Among the factors related to health and life, the congress addressed Innovations in Health, focusing on innovations in health technologies; Social Approaches to Health, covering health policies, health management, and current issues in healthcare; Holistic Health, addressing therapeutic healthcare services, preventive health practices, and complementary medicine applications; and Health and Nutrition, focusing on foods that have positive effects on the human body, promote health, and reduce the risk of disease. Under Health and Life, topics related to environmental health, the relationship between health and sports, and health psychology were also examined through 35 academic papers.
This book brings together the full-text papers presented by distinguished scholars who contributed to the congress. We hope that this collection will inspire further research and provide a foundation for future academic studies. We are pleased and proud to present this valuable work to our readers.
