Women entrepreneurs affected by the February 6 earthquakes are regaining strength in the digital world through the ELEVATE Project.
Following the February 6 earthquakes in Hatay, many women entrepreneurs lost their businesses, production spaces, and market connections. Today, these women are working to stand on their feet again and make their labor visible. Implemented during this recovery process, the ELEVATE Project aims to support women in growing their businesses by enhancing their digital skills.
Funded by the British Council and coordinated by Cappadocia University and the University of Wolverhampton, the project is being implemented in cooperation with Hatay Mustafa Kemal University, Hatay Metropolitan Municipality, Tech West Midlands, and the Antiokhia Women’s Cooperative. The project aims to increase women’s visibility in the digital sphere, revitalize the local economy, and strengthen the culture of solidarity in the region.
Within the scope of the program, participants receive training in areas such as social media management, e-commerce setup, online sales, digital marketing, safe digital practices, and basic financial literacy. The training content is developed using scientific methods by taking real needs in the field into account, and each session is supported by workshops, mentoring, and experience sharing.
Thanks to the ELEVATE Project, women entrepreneurs are clarifying their brands, learning to tell their stories effectively, and accessing new markets. At every step, measurable progress, solidarity, and sustainability principles are prioritized.
The ELEVATE Project Launch Meeting will be held on October 31, 2025, between 14:00 and 16:00 at Cappadocia University Mustafapaşa Campus, Madrasah Building, Hall A1.
