Uşak Tourism Master Plan Presented to Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy

The Tourism Master Plan, prepared in line with Uşak’s sustainable tourism goals, was presented to Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy.

The presentation program, held under the chairmanship of Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Minister of Culture and Tourism, was attended by Uşak Governor Serdar Kartal; Uşak Members of Parliament İsmail Güneş and Fahrettin Tuğrul from the Justice and Development Party (AK Party); Uşak Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Yavuz Çakar; and Uşak Provincial Chairman of the AK Party Himmet Yaşar. Our University was represented at the program by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hasan Ali Karasar; Prof. Dr. Bilgehan Gülcan; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bahar; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Halil Burak Sakal; and Research Assistant Fatıma Tüzzehra Albayrak.

Prepared in line with scientific data and a participatory planning approach, the Uşak Tourism Master Plan addresses the province’s natural, cultural, historical, and gastronomic assets through a holistic approach. Based on analyses, stakeholder consultations, focus group meetings, and field studies, Uşak’s tourism vision, priority development areas, and strategic objectives were identified.

During the presentation, the planning approach and key recommendations aimed at making more effective use of Uşak’s tourism resources, increasing tourism diversity, strengthening destination management, and positioning the province as a highly competitive destination in line with its sustainable tourism vision were presented to Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy.

The Uşak Tourism Master Plan is intended to contribute to the planned and sustainable development of the province’s tourism potential, increase tourism’s contribution to local and regional development, and strengthen Uşak’s visibility in the national tourism market.
