Bringing together contributions from 52 scholars and artists from different generations, geographical backgrounds, and stages of their academic and artistic careers, this book introduces the fundamental concepts of the environmental, digital, medical, and posthuman humanities through original scholarly essays.

Organized around 50 selected terms and concepts from these four fields and their intersections, the book explores contemporary intellectual movements and the ways in which the sciences intersect with art and literature. It examines the interconnected historical and intellectual processes of philosophical, literary, biological, medical, ecological, ethical, and technological disciplines, while also presenting their reflections in visual, auditory, and performative arts through QR codes.

By bringing together key concepts and approaches from different fields that are increasingly converging through interdisciplinary collaboration, the book responds to the climatic, ecological, cultural, economic, social, and political crises of the Anthropocene. It offers a comprehensive reference source for researchers and readers following current academic developments in these fields and provides a foundation for future research.
