Longevity to Be Explored Through a Holistic Approach in Cappadocia

We are preparing to explore the concept of healthy and long life through a multidisciplinary perspective at the Cappadocia Longevity Congress, which will be held on 12–13 June at our Ürgüp Fabrika Campus. The congress will bring together distinguished academics, researchers, and healthcare professionals to discuss longevity beyond the traditional scope of healthcare services.

The programme will address healthy and long life through a wide range of disciplines, including public health, nutrition, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, speech and language therapy, and psychology, while also incorporating perspectives from urban and regional planning, environmental sustainability, public administration, gastronomy, and the Slow Food movement.

Organised under the leadership of Cappadocia University, the congress stands out for combining scientific knowledge with the local context. Each session will present national and international perspectives while considering regional data and the socio-cultural characteristics of Cappadocia. This approach aims not only to foster theoretical discussions but also to generate practical and applicable recommendations tailored to the region.

In addition to scientific presentations, the congress will take into account Cappadocia’s demographic and socio-cultural characteristics, with the goal of strengthening collaborations that support healthy ageing, promoting the exchange of best practices, and establishing a sustainable platform for future cooperation in the region.

Academics, healthcare professionals, public institutions, local authorities, industry representatives, and students will contribute to this collaborative process through paper presentations and panel discussions.

Cappadocia University invites academics, healthcare professionals, public institutions, and all relevant stakeholders to participate in the Cappadocia Longevity Congress.
