The winners of the poster design competition, organized in collaboration with the Slow Food Communities network in Türkiye and open to amateurs and professionals from Türkiye and around the world, have been determined through public voting.
The winners of the poster competition, organized in collaboration with the Slow Food Communities network in Türkiye and our university, aimed to highlight the importance of bees for nature, contribute to the sustainability of nature, prevent the destruction of forests—the habitats of bees—for industry and urbanization, and raise awareness about incorrect and unconscious pesticide use. The winners were announced during a live broadcast on the @kapadokyauniversitesi Instagram account, with the participation of Dr. Ekin Gündüz Özdemirci from the KÜN Sustainability Commission and Yasmina Lokmanoğlu, Leader of Slow Food Tarsus.
Winners:
- “Bees Tomorrows” – Betül Tarancı (Award: Flight ticket and accommodation to attend Terra Madre 2024 in Italy, the largest and most important international event dedicated to sustainable agriculture and the environment, organized every two years by Slow Food International.)
- “Don’t Break the Rhythm” – Cansu Polat (Award: A hot air balloon flight for two in Cappadocia with Butterfly Balloons.)
- “With Honeycomb” – Ömer Çam (Award: A 2-night holiday at Alize Hotel (Fethiye-Ölüdeniz) from October 24-30.)
