Since the beginning of human history, people have encountered various forms of obstacles and have gradually come to perceive overcoming these challenges as an essential part of life. In the 21st century, however, the nature and context of these obstacles have changed as knowledge, technology, and science have become increasingly central to human life. The traditional short story competition organized by the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at Cappadocia University gives young people an opportunity to express their perspectives on this changing world through literature.

“Stories Without Barriers” Selected Stories brings together works by young writers exploring different forms of obstacles, fears, hopes, and struggles in human life. The stories address not only physical and mental barriers but also the social and personal boundaries individuals encounter, presenting them through diverse literary perspectives. Ultimately, the collection emphasizes the importance of preserving hope despite obstacles and moving toward a more inclusive future together.
