A Search Conference will be held on 6 January 2026 at the Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu Cultural Centre as part of the Sivas Tourism Master Plan and Action Plan process, organised in collaboration between Cappadocia University and the Sivas Governorship.

The initiative aims to examine Sivas’s tourism, cultural, and development potential through a comprehensive and integrated planning approach. Going beyond the preparation of a tourism master plan, the programme also seeks to develop a practical, measurable, and time-bound Action Plan to ensure the effective implementation of the proposed strategies. In this respect, the process is designed to produce not only a strategic framework but also a highly actionable roadmap.

The programme, which will take place over three days from 5–7 January 2026, will combine field studies with collaborative planning sessions. Site visits on the first and final days will assess the province’s existing conditions, while the Search Conference on 6 January will bring together stakeholders to evaluate a broad range of themes, including gastronomy, winter tourism, tangible and intangible cultural heritage, thermal, health and wellness tourism, rural and ecotourism, sports and adventure tourism, as well as accommodation, travel, and transportation.

Bringing together academics, public officials, and industry representatives, the initiative aims to produce a comprehensive Tourism Master Plan that preserves Sivas’s local values, enhances its competitiveness, and supports regional development, together with an accompanying Action Plan that will translate the strategy into concrete implementation. This comprehensive planning process is expected to lay the foundation for a sustainable and participatory development model that will help shape the future of Sivas.
