In collaboration with the World Economic Forum (WEF), a project initiated in 2021 and jointly conducted by our university addressed Turkey’s sustainable tourism development and strategies. The project’s final report was announced by the WEF and published on September 28, 2023.
The report’s primary inputs were field research, trend analyses, modeling, and forecasts related to global and Turkish tourism conducted under our university’s Center for Social and Strategic Studies. During the preparation of the report, insights from experts at the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), and the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), as well as the results of the “Destination Sustainability Survey” conducted across Turkey, were utilized.
