This seminar will examine how agroecological farming provides an effective solution to global hunger and inequality, drawing on concrete examples and policy implications. It will discuss how agroecological approaches provide fair and sustainable solutions at both producer and consumer levels in response to the environmental and social issues caused by conventional agricultural systems.
The seminar will emphasize the critical role of universities—not only as knowledge producers but also as practitioners and guiding actors—in this transformation. The strategic importance of collaborations between academia and the field for food sovereignty and climate resilience will be highlighted.
The seminar is open to the public and will be broadcast live on YouTube.
