Cappadocia University’s Amasya Tourism Master Plan Presented to Minister Ersoy

The Amasya Tourism Master Plan, prepared by Cappadocia University, was presented to Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Minister of Culture and Tourism. During the meeting held at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the participants comprehensively discussed the strategic objectives and implementation steps aimed at enhancing Amasya’s tourism potential.

The meeting was attended by Amasya Governor Önder Bakan, AK Party Amasya Members of Parliament Haluk İpek and Hasan Çilez, AK Party Amasya Provincial Chairman Galip Uzun, Secretary General of the Amasya Special Provincial Administration Erdin Acar, and Amasya Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Yaser Ergün.

Representing Cappadocia University, Prof. Dr. Bilgehan Gülcan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Halil Burak Sakal, Lecturer Dr. Burcu Tezcan, and Research Assistant Fatıma Tüzzehra Albayrak presented the scientific framework of the Amasya Tourism Master Plan, highlighting the evidence-based approach adopted in its development.

The meeting focused on the effective utilisation of Amasya’s historical, cultural, and natural assets, increasing the province’s tourism potential, and shaping its future through a sustainable vision. Within the scope of the Amasya Tourism Master Plan 2025–2030, participants discussed potential projects, new investment opportunities, and long-term development strategies in detail.

Drawing on the academic expertise of Cappadocia University, the plan offers a comprehensive roadmap for the sustainable development of tourism in Amasya through an integrated approach developed in collaboration with local stakeholders.
