Our Student Council is carrying out a series of visits in Hatay, one of the provinces affected by the earthquake, as part of the ELEVATE Project, in which Cappadocia University is a project partner.

As part of the visit programme, members of our Student Council visited the Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Earthquake Memorial, commemorated those who lost their lives in the earthquake, and laid carnations at the memorial. The students also toured the Antakya Campus of Hatay Mustafa Kemal University, where they received information from academic staff and observed the region’s academic and social activities firsthand. The day’s programme concluded with an iftar gathering.

As the programme continues, our Student Council members will meet with women entrepreneurs in Hatay to observe the project’s activities on site and learn about their production processes.

ELEVATE Project

The ELEVATE Project aims to strengthen the digital skills of women entrepreneurs affected by the earthquake, enhance their competencies in e-commerce and digital marketing, and support the recovery and growth of their economic activities. Within the scope of the project, Cappadocia University contributes through training, mentoring, and capacity-building activities.
