As the Cappadocia University Cappadocia Data Processing, Innovation, and Project-Based Implementation and Research Center (Cappadocia Innovation Center), we would like to discuss, within the scope of the seventh of our traditional Cappadocia Economic Meetings (CEM), the topic Development and Planning Process of Rural Settlements: Solution Proposals Through Social, Economic, Administrative, and Spatial Dimensions in the Context of Sustainability and Quality of Life, which we will organize on November 20, 2023.
In the workshop, we plan to address Turkey’s rural development issues within the framework of the EU Sustainability Agreement, from economic, social, cultural, environmental, geographical (spatial), administrative, and climatic perspectives.
Within the scope of the workshop, we will develop rural development strategies for five pilot regions to be integrated into CEM VIII, which is planned to take place on April 26, 2024. Opportunities for utilizing funding from various institutions for the project studies will be explored.
