At the 2025 Cappadocia Value Awards organized by the Nevşehir Journalists’ Association, the Institution Award was presented to the Cappadocia Earth Market Cappadocia–Uçhisar.
The evaluation process of the 2025 Cappadocia Value Awards, organized by the Nevşehir Journalists’ Association to honor Cappadocia’s cultural, artistic, touristic, and academic values, has been completed. As a result of the assessment conducted by an independent jury composed of academics, journalists, and field experts, the “Institution Adding Value to Cappadocia Award” in the Institution Award category was presented to the Earth Market Cappadocia–Uçhisar.
Focusing on supporting local production and embracing Cappadocia’s cultural heritage and sustainable lifestyle approach, the Earth Market Cappadocia–Uçhisar has undergone a significant development process with the academic, institutional, and social contributions of our University. Cappadocia University played an active role in the establishment, strengthening, and long-term sustainability of this unique model, which directly connects producers and consumers.

Commenting on the award, Arzum Karabıyık, Coordinator of the Earth Market Cappadocia–Uçhisar, stated:
“Cappadocia Earth Market is not merely a marketplace; it is a collective structure that empowers local producers and advocates a way of life that respects nature and cultural heritage. Having our work—carried out with the academic and institutional support of Cappadocia University—crowned with such a meaningful award has been a great source of motivation for us.
