The IU Greenmetric World Ranking 2023 evaluation results were announced on December 5, 2023. Our university ranked 388th out of 1183 universities from 84 different countries in 2023 and continued to be among the top 500 sustainable world universities.
Cappadocia University, which ranked 8th in the previous year’s ranking of 20 foundation universities in Turkey, maintained its 8th place based on total points in the 2023 ranking of 28 foundation universities. In the 2023 evaluation of Greenmetric, 83 Turkish universities participated in the previous year, and our university ranked 30th, while we ranked 34th among 97 Turkish universities.
In the Greenmetric 2023 ranking, our University ranked 12th among all Turkish universities, 3rd among foundation universities under the title “Transportation,” and 10th among foundation universities under the titles “Energy and Climate Change” and “Waste.” Our university also ranks 7th among foundation universities and 30th in the national ranking under the title “Education-Research,” another area of strength.
In the 2023 ranking of Cappadocia University, in addition to the “Total Score,” the scores in the titles of “Energy and Climate Change,” “Transportation,” and “Education-Research” increased. These scores are the highest our University has received since 2019, when it participated in the ranking for the first time.
