Artvin 2026-2030 Tourism Master Plan Workshop, organized under the leadership of Cappadocia University, has outlined a roadmap to define the city’s tourism vision. The workshop, designed by Cappadocia University with a special methodology and priority area framework centered on Artvin’s tourism potential, was held on September 29, 2025, in Artvin. Its main goal was to establish a roadmap that will shape the city’s tourism vision.
The workshop was attended by the Artvin Governorship, Artvin Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, Artvin Çoruh University, local authorities, sector stakeholders, academicians, and representatives of civil society.
Cappadocia University, leveraging its academic knowledge and institutional experience, led a planning process based on Artvin’s unique natural, cultural, and historical values. This approach aims to contribute to the city achieving its rightful place in tourism.
The workshop evaluated the necessary steps to develop Artvin’s potential and increase its visibility at national and international levels, focusing on an academic approach centered on local priorities and strong stakeholder collaboration.
Through interactive search conferences and thematic table sessions, participants discussed Artvin’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and development areas. Solution-oriented proposals specific to the city were developed under the themes of nature tourism, cultural tourism, ecotourism, sports tourism, gastronomy, promotion and marketing, destination management, digitalization, and smart tourism.
