The “Workshop on Safety, Technology and Future Perspectives in the Hot Air Balloon Industry,” which discussed safety, technology, and future strategies in the hot air balloon industry, was held on February 12-14, 2025, with the support and cooperation of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. The event brought together industry professionals, academics, and relevant stakeholders to discuss the current state and future of the hot air balloon industry.
The workshop discussed new technologies, the latest innovations in safety standards, and strategic plans for the hot air balloon industry’s future. Participants discussed the industry’s current challenges and proposed solutions to these challenges. There was an intense exchange of ideas, especially on safety and operational regulations, and evaluations were made on new standards that may be applied.
