Ayşe Böhürler, Member of Parliament for Kayseri, our Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Ali Karasar, and our Chair of the Board of Trustees, Funda Aktan, paid a visit to Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Industry and Technology, at his office.
During a meeting held at the Ministry of Industry and Technology, a number of digital technology projects planned to be implemented in Nevşehir and Kayseri were discussed. Evaluations were made regarding the ongoing work on these projects, and views were exchanged on the planned initiatives and opportunities for collaboration.
The meeting also addressed the role that Cappadocia University could undertake in the field of digital technologies through its education, research, and collaboration activities that contribute to regional development. Particular attention was given to opportunities for bringing the University’s academic expertise and collaborations with various stakeholders together with the planned initiatives in Nevşehir and Kayseri.
The visit also included an exchange of views on the potential of Nevşehir and Kayseri in the field of digital technologies and on ways to further develop this potential through new projects and inter-institutional collaborations. The potential contributions of the planned initiatives to the development of the region’s digital technology ecosystem and regional development were also evaluated.
