As part of the 2025–2026 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony, the Environmental Sustainability Leadership Award and the “Living Cappadocia: Biodiversity Photography Competition” awards were presented to our students in recognition of their outstanding contributions to environmental sustainability.
Under the Environmental Sustainability Leadership Award, Seçil Ertaş, a second-year student in the Department of English Translation and Interpreting, was awarded first place for her inspiring work in environmental sustainability, including her nature-conscious projects, innovative ideas, and awareness-raising initiatives. She also received the 15,000 TL award. We sincerely congratulate our student on this remarkable achievement.
In the “Living Cappadocia: Biodiversity Photography Competition,” Zeynep Zeybek, a third-year student in the Department of English Language and Literature, was awarded first place for her outstanding photograph and received a 12,000 TL prize. Nisa Özsoylu, a third-year student in the Department of English Translation and Interpreting, was awarded second place and received an 8,000 TL prize, while Emre Gürekkaya, also a third-year student in the Department of English Translation and Interpreting, earned third place for his photograph and received an 5,000 TL prize.
We wholeheartedly congratulate all of our students who captured the rich biodiversity of the region we call home and brought the stories of nature to life through their photography.
We wish all of our award recipients continued success in their efforts toward a more sustainable future. May their achievements, combining environmental responsibility with knowledge, creativity, and social awareness, inspire new ideas, projects, and volunteer initiatives that further strengthen environmental awareness across our university community.
