Our university has become a corporate member of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).
Aiming to contribute to Turkey’s sustainable tourism policies and practices through its ongoing projects, our university became part of global efforts in sustainable tourism in 2021 as a corporate member of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).
The Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) establishes global standards for sustainable travel and tourism while providing international accreditation services for sustainable tourism certification bodies.
Our university has become the first educational institution in Turkey to be a GSTC corporate member, with objectives including contributing to the development of Turkey’s sustainable tourism standards, expanding the scope of sustainable tourism policies to disseminate sustainability practices in the tourism sector, and leading scientific research and activities related to sustainable tourism both nationally and at destination level.
