Project Summary
Within the framework of the BAP project titled “Synthesis of Some New Environmentally Friendly Block/Graft Copolymers,” studies are being conducted to produce new environmentally friendly polymer materials. The focus of these studies is on synthesizing new polymer materials using products derived from nature. Soybean oil, a vegetable oil, is widely used in the industry to produce new chemical substances. Due to its double bonds, it polymerizes through forming peroxides with atmospheric oxygen. Within the scope of this study, soybean oil macro peroxides are used to polymerize vinyl monomers, producing new copolymers and composite materials containing metal nanoparticles.
