Our university has been accepted as a UN SDSN Sustainable Development Solutions Network member as of August 2024.

The UN SDSN Sustainable Development Solutions Network is an initiative launched by the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in 2012. It aims to produce solutions for sustainable development worldwide. UN SDSN brings together scientists, researchers, the private sector, and civil society organizations to develop innovative solutions for global and local sustainability problems. The network supports the strategies and policies required to achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and strengthens all stakeholders.

Our university applied for membership in UN SDSN in March 2024, and this application was accepted on August 16, 2024. This membership certifies our university’s intensive work and determination in sustainability at an international level. UN SDSN membership allows our university to collaborate with prestigious academic and research institutions working in sustainable development worldwide and within the UN SDSN Turkey Network. In addition, our university will be able to guide global sustainability policies and introduce local solutions at an international level through this network.

This important membership will strengthen our university’s efforts to contribute to sustainable development goals and provide new learning and development opportunities for our students, academics, and all employees. UN SDSN membership allows institutions to lead in sustainable development, share knowledge with other network members, and implement best practices by adapting them to their local environments.
