Our University Ranked 344th in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings
According to the 2025 UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, in which 1,745 universities worldwide were evaluated, our University rose from 399th place last year to 344th place, further strengthening its position among the top 500 sustainable universities globally.
Since first participating in the GreenMetric ranking in 2019, our University has increased its overall performance score from 49.74% to 80.29% as of 2025, achieving the highest total score and performance level of the past seven years.
In the 2025 national rankings, our University placed 37th among 142 universities in Türkiye, and 8th among 39 foundation universities, marking a significant advancement.
The most concrete and distinctive indicator of this success emerged in the waste management category. Our University ranked 29th worldwide and 4th nationally among Turkish universities in waste management. Moreover, it placed 2nd among foundation universities in Türkiye, achieving the maximum possible score of 1,800 points in this category.
Based on the 2025 total score, our University ranked 2nd among 16 universities in Türkiye with small campus areas, and 8th among 38 universities with medium-sized campus populations.
In the global category rankings, our University placed:
- 177th in Transportation,
- 422nd in Energy and Climate Change,
- 538th in Education and Research,
- 640th in Water, and
- 760th in Campus Infrastructure.
When evaluated specifically among foundation universities in Türkiye, Kapadokya University ranked:
- 8th in Infrastructure,
- 12th in Energy and Climate Change,
- 5th in Transportation,
- 6th in Water Management, and
- 15th in Education and Research, demonstrating a strong national position.
