The market, which will open on May 24th to support local producers and traditional regional products, preserve biodiversity, and promote access to good, clean, and fair food, will be part of Slow Food’s international Earth Markets network. Aiming to contribute to the local economy and support sustainable rural development by directly connecting producers and consumers, the market opening will be followed by a seminar discussing the importance of farmers’ markets in this process, with international examples. The opening will be open to the public and broadcast live on Cappadocia University’s YouTube channel.
