In the GreenMetric 2020 rankings, our university has improved upon its initial success from 2019 in both national and international standings. The GreenMetric World University Rankings (http://greenmetric.ui.ac.id), initiated in 2010 by the University of Indonesia and increasingly participated in by Turkish universities in recent years, announced its 2020 evaluation results on December 7, 2020.
Our university maintained its 4th place position among Turkish Foundation Universities in terms of total score, while ranking 3rd among Foundation Universities in both “Education and Research” and “Transportation” categories, and sharing 2nd place in the “Waste” category with another university.
In the overall rankings, our university placed 16th among 56 Turkish universities (up from 18th among 43 universities in 2019) and ranked 321st worldwide among 912 eco-friendly universities (up from 392nd among 780 universities in 2019). Our university also appears in high positions in some other categories of the general ranking.
