| Project Summary | Although numerous written and visual resources make the climate crisis more understandable and increase awareness, featuring engaging, straightforward language and reliable information, the accessibility of such resources in Turkish, and more importantly, local data and examples specific to Turkey, are limited. The Climate Crisis Awareness Database Project aims to create a comprehensive database that combines written, visual, and auditory resources explaining the causes, consequences, future projections, solution proposals, and current practices related to the climate crisis in an understandable language. It will also transform locally relevant data into engaging and accessible resources, increasing their visibility. The database will be hosted on a dedicated project website and will be kept up-to-date and sustainable through the planning of potential future phases of the project. Additionally, the materials produced within the project will be compiled into a catalog, which will be proposed for publication by Kapadokya University Press in both printed and open-access e-book formats. |
