Zero Emission Day has been celebrated every year on September 21st since 2008. It aims to reduce fossil fuel use and our carbon footprint and raise global awareness of climate change and sustainability. The following goals are particularly emphasized with Zero Emission Day:
- Raising awareness on the effects of carbon emissions on air quality and climate change,
- Encouraging individuals, organizations, and companies to reduce their use of fossil fuels in daily life,
- Supporting the use of renewable energy.
Every year on September 21st, people worldwide are invited to a global challenge of not using fossil fuels and achieving zero emissions for 24 hours. Dedicate one day a year to our planet.
